About Coast and Country

Established in 1989 on the French Riviera, Coast and Country are now one of the leading real-estate agencies in the South of France.

It is important to realise that all aspects of real-estate property sales and letting are very carefully regulated and controlled.

Anyone offering services in France must be fully insured and show a registration number of a Carte Professionnelle. This is held by the person who has established and operated the agency.

For Coast and Country this is Alistair Buchan who has the main office in Mougins near Cannes. The Carte Professionelle number is 10699. This assures you that the agency and all the people associated with it are working correctly and within the laws of France.

All other sales agents working in Coast and Country are also registered and can show you their credentials. Anyone else who is selling property or offering property for sale and who does not have these credentials is working illegally.

I am Tony Tidswell and I run the Languedoc office for Coast and Country from the medieval town of Pezenas in the Herault. I came to live in France 17 years ago with my wife and young family, you can read more about me on my own About Us page.
