Real Estate Aups: Villas and Houses for sale

Aups is situated at the gateway of the Verdon Nature Park and surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and superb driving roads. The picturesque village is renowned for its production of olive oil with two olive mills in the centre of the village, and for the largest black truffle market in the South-east of France. A colourful Provençal market is held twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays when fresh local produce is always available. The village is spoilt for choice of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants – from haute cuisine to good rustic family cooking, or even some of the best pizzas ever.

Just to the North of the village is the Lac de Sainte Croix, the largest man-made lake in Europe, which has the most amazing azure blue waters fed from the equally impressive Gorge du Verdon – the largest gorge in Europe with some breathtaking viewpoints. Across the lake are the famous lavender fields of Provence.

It is only an hour’s drive to the Bay of Saint Tropez at Sainte Maxime. So you have the choice – the bright lights of the Côte d’Azur or traditional Provence. Either way, you won’t be disappointed.

With regard to property, being a pure Provençal village, there are currently no apartments in Aups, but we usually have a choice of village houses for sale; On the outskirts of the village there is a choice of smaller traditional villas with gardens and then in the surrounding countryside are larger properties with more land – all at prices considerably lower than further South on the coastal strip.
