The Old Town is a wonderful place to explore on foot and offers a range of small gardens, shady squares and some wonderful cafés and restaurants.

Menton’s seafront is equally attractive and includes two marinas, the Old Port and a number of fine sandy beaches. These include a number of public beaches, of which the Plage de Sablettes is the most popular and accessible, and a dozen or so private beaches where you can enjoy waiter service from the comfort of your own deck chair. Once you’ve relaxed on the beach you may have the energy for a little cultural distraction and the Jean Cocteau Museum, situated to the southwest of the Old Port, is just a short walk away.
