Roquefort les Pins covers some 2,100 hectares and is situated to the north of Valbonne and the to west of Grasse. It is not a true village in the provencal sense but rather several residential “hameaux” surrounded by pine woods. Notre Dame is the oldest part, Le Plan is the administrative and commercial center and Les Terres Blanches is the most rural area. Being set back from the coast the summer temperatures are never excessive, particularly with the cooling breezes from the neighbouring hills, and in winter the sea is sufficiently close to ensure temperatures remain mild. For the tourist or the permanent resident there are a large number of cultural and sporting activities, as well as several excellent restaurants.
