Golf Properties for Sale on the French Riviera

As children most of us probably made a list of everything we wanted when we grew up. On reflection our lists were somewhat unrealistic; otherwise there would be far more astronauts and firemen walking around the place married to Grace Kelly. There is one thing on many of our lists that you can still do; buy a golf property in France. Ideally the South of France.

Owning a luxury villa in the South of France means that you can play golf in the morning (not before raiding the local patisserie) and then find your way to the beachside restaurants for a late lunch. Lunch of course, being a euphemism for drinking some of the most wonderful wine in the world and eating your body weight in cheese.

Hopefully your list is very specific in regards to location; otherwise you are likely to find yourself torn between which courses to live closest to. Among the golf courses with property associated there's the Riviera Golf Course  at Mandelieu, which has the benefit of being less than 5km from Cannes and, more importantly for those of us not feeling brave, it boasts few water hazards on the course. A little further to the east here is the Royal Mougins Golf Course, where the course's technical challenges are all that more rewarding when you know that after the last hole there is a spa treatment waiting. An attractive smaller course is the 9-hole Victoria Golf Course Valbonne and while the Saint Philippe Golf Course in Biot-Sophia Antipolis has no property within its limits, there are some very attractive apartments situated just across the road from the Clubhouse.
